- How many weddings have you done?
- Collectively, we have easily done more than 1,000 weddings as our DJ's have all been independent gig works as well as contractors through DJ Flair. Adam himself, has averaged 30 a year for more than 10 years, and began as a DJ in 1998 so the numbers add up fast!
- Is the DJ available on your date?
- Yes - when we book your date, we also will confirm the DJ is available at that time. We do not "bait and switch" your DJ.
- How long have you been in business?
- Flair Entertainment LLC was established in 1998.
- What has been the biggest challenge for you at weddings?
- Reminding couples to "not get in their own way!" You want to have fun - so do it! Let the experts BE EXPERTS!
- What's the biggest reward for you at weddings?
- Smiles, laughs, packed dance floors and happy memories!
- Are weddings your main event or do you do other events?
- At this time yes, weddings are our main events. Throughout our history we have played in clubs and bars, opened for many a band and traveled on several cruise ships - but we primarily focus on the wedding industry at this time.
- Do they have another event the same day or weekend?
- We may have several jobs on a weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) but we will not double book your DJ.
- How much set up and tear down time do you need?
- For weddings we usually require a 2 hour set up window at minimum and it usually takes us less than an hour to tear down.
- Do you offer additional services?
- Yes we do, and they are listed on our Pricing Page.
- What do you need the venue to provide?
- Usually we ask the venue to provide a table, and place us both near an outlet and near the dance floor.
- Has the DJ worked at our venue? If not, what's the plan?
- We have worked a countless venues during our existence, however we will be more than happy to visit a venue we've never been if it will put everyone at ease!
- How extensive is your music collection?
- Well - being classically trained DJ's (pre-digital), many of us have been listening to and playing music for YEARS, and so our catalog is very, very, VERY large. Our website allows you to filter through song selections, making picking music super easy.
- Do you take requests?
- Yes, within reason. We will also make sure the song requests, are inline with the couples desires, and will avoid playing things that do not match.
- How do you get your guests up, dancing and excited?
- A good DJ will know the right tune and know what tune to play next - to get people moving. We use the microphone as well - but as a tool, and not a crutch, to entice guests to join the party!
- Does the DJ make announcements?
- Yes, the "MC" portion stands for "Master of Ceremony" and our job is to usher the night along. We'll handle all announcements and host the event from A-Z.
- What is your deposit?
- Our deposits can vary depending on service and total bill but they start at $300 minimum.
- Type of payment options?
- Check, Credit Card, Online (Venmo, Zelle) and Cash. For credit card customers, we will invoice you via PayPal and there is a 3.5% processing fee.
- Do you require a meal?
- Yes, any staff on site will require a meal if guests are also being served. Include us in your guest count.
- Do you have insurance?
- Yes
- When is final payment due?
- Two weeks before your event.
- What is your standard cancellation policy?
- Once you are booked, your deposit is non-refundable. Events cancelled 2 months or less of the event date, will be responsible for 50% of the remaining balance, and events canceled within 2 weeks or less of the event date will be responsible for 80% of the remaining balance.
- How are you handling COVID-19?
- We have had to move/shuffle many dates and will continue to do so if/when that occurs. There must also be an understanding that staff could vary on your new date due to prior bookings. If you have to completely cancel, we will refund/cancel the contract with no additional fees minus the initial deposit.
